Dave Chally - Owner   

I've been in the insurance business since 1991.  I moved from Chicago to become part of Barney Insurance.  I live in Kearney with my wife Angie and four children Drew, Adam, Danielle, and Alison.  I enjoy all types of sports, especially when playing them with my kids. I'm  involved in a variety of volunteer roles in the community and our church.  Kearney is a great place to raise a family.  I am currently co-owner of Barney Insurance.

Yvonne Deyle - Account Executive            

I came to the Barney Insurance Agency in 1955 as a file clerk.  Over the years, I moved into various departments of the office and have had experience in all lines of business.  I was office manager for many years and the commercial lines supervisor as well.  I traveled extensively to company meetings all over the United States to assist in planning various facets of the business. I became involved in the Nebraska Professional Insurance Agents and was the first female president of that State organization in 1990-1991.  Now I work in Sales and am the Commercial Lines Supervison.  In May of 2005 I will be completing 50 years in the business!!!  My husband, Jim Barth, and I live outside the city limits of Kearney and enjoy our yard, home. antique autos, children and grandchildren.  I have three children, five step children, and thirteen grandchildren.

Lisa Paitz - Account Executive

I started working for Phillips Insurance Agency-Pleasanton in 1986.  Phillips Insurance was sold to Barney Insurance January of 1997.  I continued working out of the Pleasanton office until October of 2002 when the office in Pleasanton closed.  I then transferred to the Kearney office and here I am.  I enjoy bowling, golfing, and playing softball, but have little time for both, as my husband Keith and I are busy running to our kid's extra-curricular activities throughout the year.  We have 4 children, Jolissa, Trevor, Austin, and Mallary.  We are active in the St Mary's church in Pleasanton, where I also play the piano/organ.  Keith and I are also volunteer EMTs for Pleasanton Fire Dept.

Tim Hughbanks - Account Executive          

I began my insurance career in Hastings as a life insurance agent for the then Bankers Life of Iowa (now Principal Financial Group) in 1984.  In 1986, I was offered a positin with Federated Insurance as a Marketing Representative here in Kearney.  After expansion of my territory, I was relocated to Grand Island in 1989, but missed the friends and Kearney community a great deal.  I was offered an opportunity to return to Kearney in 1991 to join an independent agency and jumped at the chance to return to a community I had grown to enjoy so much.  I have been with Barney Insurance now since February of 2001 and work primarily in outside sales as a commercial producer.  I have been active in the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, Leadership Kearney and Youth Leadership Kearney and currently sit on the Community Redevelopment Authority Board of Directors.  My wife Kris and I have two daughters, Jessica and Courtney, and twin step-sons, Brandon and Nathan.

Tracy Pritchard - Account Executive

I have been with Barney Insurance since 1997.  Prior to that I had worked in the health insurance industry 3 years while finishing my degree from UNK.  I specialize in writting individual and group health insurance. I also write auto, home, farm, and commercial property insurance.  My family and I reside north of Pleasanton where my husband farms and raises roping cattle.  We also have 2 children, Caleb and Autumn.

Shirley Smalley - Account Executive           

I originally started work with Barney Insurance in 1969.  I stayed home when my first son was born; later went back to work in other agencies; to return to Barney Insurance in 1990.  I have worked in all areas: bookkeeping, claims, personal lines, and commercial lines.  I have a husband, two sons, and three grandchildren.  I guess you could say attending school  functions, watching baseball, and spending time with the grandkids is my hobbie.  I enjoy being outdoors and taking care of my flowers.

Alice Kegley - Accounting\Claims\Bonds

I have been associated with Barney Insurance since 1996.  My main focus is managing the accounting department including payroll, receivables, and payables.  I handle contractor, fidelity and surety bonds as well as assisting the claim department.  I specialize in long-term care policies and other senior products.  I have been a Kearney resident for many years, and have two grown children and one grandchild.  I am very active at my church, volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital and enjoy gardening, traveling and antiques.

Janice Ritter - Claims

I have been working in the insurance business for over 15 years -- with Barney Insurance Agency since 1997.  I work in the claims department, and processing of commercial line policies.  I enjoy playing softball, volleyball, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary Rishel - Commercial Lines CSR

Hi.  I have been with Barney Insurance since November 1986.  My insurance career started in 1983 in a much smaller agency here in Kearney.  Barney's has given me the opportunity to expand my insurance skills and develope a wide range of friendships with our clientile.  My husband works in the Courthouse, and we have 2 small children that keep us hopping.  We love to travel and enjoy the great outdoors.

Kim Wilson - Customer Service

Hi my name is Kim Wilson, and I started working for Barney Insurance in November of 1998.  My primary position is customer service.  I am married and we reside north of Kearney.
